McDVoice is McDonald’s official customer feedback survey. After you eat at McDonald’s, the receipt usually has a survey code printed at the bottom. You enter that code at mcdvoice.com, answer a few questions about your visit, and receive a validation code for a free item or discount on your next order. It takes about five minutes and the reward is worth it if you eat at McDonald’s regularly.
How to take the McDVoice survey step by step
Step 1: Keep your McDonald’s receipt. The survey code is a 26-digit number printed near the bottom of the receipt. You need this code to start the survey. The code expires after a few days, so do not wait too long.
Step 2: Go to mcdvoice.com on your phone or computer. The site works on any browser and does not require an app download.
Step 3: Enter the 26-digit survey code from your receipt. You will also need to enter the date and time of your visit, which are printed on the receipt.
Step 4: Answer the survey questions. These cover food quality, order accuracy, speed of service, restaurant cleanliness, and staff friendliness. Most questions use a scale from “highly satisfied” to “highly dissatisfied.” There are also a few open text boxes where you can leave specific comments.
Step 5: At the end of the survey, you receive a validation code. Write this code on your receipt. You will show the receipt with the validation code on your next visit to redeem the offer.
What do you get for completing the survey?
The reward changes depending on the promotion running at the time and sometimes varies by location. Common rewards include:
A free Quarter Pounder with Cheese or Big Mac with purchase of a medium fry and drink. A free Egg McMuffin with purchase during breakfast hours. A buy-one-get-one-free deal on a sandwich. Or a discount like $1 off any combo meal from the Extra Value Meals menu.
The specific offer is printed on your receipt before you even take the survey. Look at the text near the survey code — it will say something like “Free Quarter Pounder with Cheese with purchase of medium or large Extra Value Meal.” That tells you exactly what reward you will get.
Rules and limitations
You can only take one survey per receipt. If you visit McDonald’s three times in a week and keep all three receipts, you can take three separate surveys and earn three separate rewards. There is no limit on how many surveys you can complete over time, just one per receipt.
The validation code is typically valid for 30 days after the survey is completed, but check the fine print on your receipt for exact expiration terms at your location.
You must make a qualifying purchase to redeem most rewards. The survey reward is rarely a completely free item with no purchase required — it is usually tied to buying a meal or a specific item.
Is McDVoice worth doing?
If you eat at McDonald’s even once a week, absolutely. A free Big Mac or Quarter Pounder is worth $5 to $6 in menu value. Spending five minutes on a survey for a $5 to $6 reward is a better return on your time than most coupon clipping. Combined with the McDonald’s app deals and the McValue menu offers, the McDVoice survey is one of the easiest ways to reduce your McDonald’s spending.
The survey also gives you a direct channel to provide feedback. If your local McDonald’s consistently gets your order wrong or has long wait times, the survey responses actually reach the franchise owner and district manager. Multiple negative surveys from the same location trigger operational reviews.
Common problems and fixes
Survey code not working: Make sure you are entering all 26 digits correctly with no spaces. If the code still does not work, it may have expired. Codes are typically valid for 3 to 7 days after the visit.
No survey code on receipt: Not every receipt includes a survey invitation. It depends on the franchise and current promotion cycle. If your receipt does not have a code, there is nothing you can do for that particular visit.
Site not loading: McDVoice.com occasionally goes down during high traffic periods. Try again in a few hours. The site works on mobile browsers, so you do not need a desktop computer.
